Safari animal decor is hugely popular right now, you could say it's having a MOMENT in the world of nursery decor. Here at Mini Maison we have always made sure we stock safari nursery accessories, because we know just how popular they are with new parents choosing to create a special space for their baby. Babies and young children are drawn to animals, an animal is often their first word, so a safari theme is the perfect starting point.
I'm going to show you two different ways of creating a safari animal nursery, whatever your interior style; one is bright and bold while the other is more traditional and eclectic.
First up is the more traditional, eclectic safari decor. The room and styling belongs to Jessie at @ourlittleflintcottage who you can follow on Instagram for more interior styling inspo.
A variety of textures has been used in this nursery - lots of rattan and wicker really support the 'natural' vibe of this nursery and the detail of the wallpaper creates a warm and cosy feel to the room.
The wooden animal accessories paired with our Safari Animal Changing Mat, which is created using a watercolour pattern, gives the nursery character. The traditional backdrop works for a baby with some clever styling, contemporary furniture and fun accessories.

Next up is our bold and bright Safari themed nursery - using dark green alongside warm tones of rust and mustard, plus white to keep the room bright. This nursery has been created using some truly special products from many small businesses, alongside some bigger brands. Featuring our Rusty the Lion Changing Mat, this bold lion pattern is designed with a yellow-mustard face and a rusty mane with some green leaves dotted throughout.
Again, texture plays an important part in the decor of this nursery - from the linen of the canopy to the straw of the lion on the wall to the fiddle leaf fig plant, texture brings depth and interest to the space.
A fun and vibrant room, this nursery will take your baby into their toddlerhood and beyond, a room for them to enjoy for years to come.
